“Ding Ding! This is Jinnah University for Women (JUW) where uniform is must. Every girl is wearing white kamez and shalwar with peach duppatta but what I am looking? Girls in abaya and surprisingly they are sitting inside class room and taking lectures too!”
Abaya has become part of uniform; every third girl is wearing the shaded coats. To, dissolve my confusion; I talked to some girls to find out the mystery behind the growing trends of abaya under University premises.
The most common reason that every girl share is, “University timings are from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm and I have only one class today that’s why I use to wear abaya, it helps me to go out from University before finishing hours”
However, there are many girls who come from public transport and wears abaya for covering themselves and a bunch of girls use to wear it as a fashion symbol.
On the other hand, authority figures of the JUW use to say that if there is only one class a day then girls should spend their time in library or in other educational activities.
Girls have their own reasons to wear abaya but as a JUW student, they should follow the rules and regulations fully.

ReplyDeletei think it's okay for religious reasons, but not for wearing their casual clothes instead of uniforms! that's breaking school/uni rules and i thoroughly dislike rule breakers :O

ReplyDeletewell i myself wear abaya in JUW, and i relate it to my religion..talking about juw's rule and regulations u must remember that there is ISLAM in our life which comes first whose rule and regulations are to be firstly followed than any other rules....i know there are many girls who misuse abaya for going outside the university, but this doesnt mean that every girl wearing abaya has same objective....i think open ur mind first, observe all aspects then pass a comment...
