The Great Nationwide Pizza Festival
If one would ask me, what can I
eat everyday then I would reply 'Pizza' (^_^) Yes, pizza is my favorite dish
that I cannot share with anyone but at the same time I cannot eat it alone too.
I believe company is very necessary while eating, at least if there’s single
person to accompany you while eating then you will enjoy the food and if you
have a bunch of friends then I am sure you will eat below your limits, and in
case if you are eating alone, you will be eating only to fill your tummy so
it’s better to find a company.
I love to eat pizza with
cousins. We are a bunch of six cousins, actually we are BFFs, on many
gatherings or birthday parties with mutual consensus we prefer to order pizza
and other items at home, and enjoy every bite of it on terrace in open sky and
to save time, we log on to foodpanda and orders our favorite feast. It saves us
from vicious traffic jams and gives us great conveience at the same time. The sweet chit chat and
funky gossip that we had in cold nights while eating hot pizza are
unforgettable. It truly falls under the sack of my golden memories, and today
foodpanda has given us another chance to re-live those magical moments again
because today foodpanda is celebrating, The Great Pizza Festival in which 100
plus pizza outlets are participating and some of them are: Domino’s, 14thStreet
Pizza Co, Pizza Point and others, and not only this, it’s giving an exclusive
50% off on every deal so log on to foodpanda and scroll down to your favorite
deal and order.
In this dry routine, foodpanda
has given me a chance to party and I am going to avail it by ordering my
favorite pizza, so what are your plans?

A Chinese treat :)
So today is my best friend’s birthday, we are a group of five
friends but we know each other from quite long time. From the first day of
university to the last meeting we attended at 10:00 am in the office today.
Yes, she is my buddy, she is my classmate, and my colleague as well. We share a
strong bond of love, affection and understanding. Since we are a group of five,
it’s a rule of our group, to make one's birthday the most memorable event of the
year. To do so, we give them a royal treatment on their special day and for
Zoya we have planned a blast, and this all is possible due to foodpanda.
This year we have planned to celebrate a 101% fun filled birthday
of her and for a well-managed party we have divided our tasks for the day, and
yes, I have been given the food department. Off course, for anyone food will be
an easy task but in Zoya’s case it’s difficult. She is a foody person and loves
Chinese food, so I logged on to foodpanda to order her favorite feast.
This time foopanda is celebrating The Great Chinese Festival and
all the mainstream Chinese restaurants of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad are participating in it with
all their dishes and offering an exclusive 50 % discount over single dish and deals. Zoya loves chicken Manchurian and hot & sour soup from China Grill, Stir fried Noodles from Oishi Sushi, butterfly prawn from Ching Ming and the list goes on, hence, foodpanda has helped me a lot in making my best friend's birthday a blast and insha'Allah she will love and enjoy tonight's surprise party and will remember it the whole year.

Click happiness with foodpanda
The
month of Ramadan is about fasting but as soon the air echoes with the sound of
Allah u Akbar, Allah u Akbar, everyone attack over aftaari, and eat as much as
they can, and later prepare for Taraweeh with a heavy stomach and throat
bubbling with food. There are two kinds of people in the world one who eat to
live and others, who live to eat!
Are
you the one who lives to eat? Don’t stare the words or feel shy, be frank as I
am also the one but my calorie calculator is always on whenever I order any
scrumptious item. There was a time when I keep the brochures of restaurants or
log on to websites only to get their delivery number but now foodpanda has made
it all easy for me. Now I just log on to foodpanda, order my favorite food item
and get it at my door step.
This
Ramadan when I was surfing the website for Aftaar deals, it doesn’t mean, I was
feeling hungry or mujhey roza lag raha tha,
I came across the
Click Donate banner. I was so amazed and curious to know how foodpanda can
support underprivileged families as it’s an online food portal.
In my
curiosity I clicked the banner and found three categories of Ration packs. When
I read the items carried by each Ration Pack, I was surprised. The ration
bags contain daily consumer products such as rice, flour, tea and cooking oil,
and have been categorized into three packages priced at Rs.1000, Rs.1825 and
Rs.2890 according to a person’s feasibility.
At that
moment, I realized what my Thousand Rupees can do for the poor families. From
my thousand rupees, my friends and I can have an aftaar party but on the other
hand, this thousand rupee note can bring smile on the faces of a whole family
and they can eat a substantial meal through it. Ramadan is the spiritual
month when a Muslim do fasting for Allah, and abstain himself from eating and
drinking in order to get the real essence of Ramadan which is hunger and
thirst, and unfortunately, food and water are the elements that are heavily wasted every year, but
this Ramadan foodpanda has paved an easy path for us through the Click Donate campaign.
One can donate a ration pack by sitting at home with just a click!
I
further searched about this online charity program, and my trust was further
strengthened when I saw TCS Connect and Orange Tree Foundation are also involved
in this Choti si Naiki (small deed). TCS Connect is handling the logistics
and collection of money from the donors and giving it to Orange Tree
Foundation which is a charitable organization for education.
The
promotional video of the campaign played the role of a catalyst in the whole
process. The video have first shown the plight of poverty and hunger in our
country and right after that the struggle and teamwork of foodpanda has shown
that actually eliminates the doubt of fraud or any other deceit. The video
urges me to share it on my social networks so my friends and other members of my
friend list can be a part of this activity and join hand in hand with food
panda in this month of donation.
How
to donate?
It is
a three step process, select your ration pack via foodpanda website or mobile
app and order it. Later, a TCS Connect representative will visit your home to
collect the money and give you a certificate from foodpanda as a token of
appreciation. Your money then will be delivered to Orange Tree Foundation where
ration packs will be distributed to the needy.
The
whole process is so simple and convenient. This Ramadan, be a part of this good
deed with foodpanda and share happiness with underprivileged. Because this is
not charity, this is their right!

I volunteered
Everyone
loves to keep a pet or pets. He nurtures the beautiful creature with
deep love, great warmth and care. Some loves to keep cats and dogs while
other goes out for fish, birds and others. This story is not about my
pet but my colleague’s. One of my colleague loves to keep fishes,
initially he bought a small pot for fishes that later converted into a
big aquarium. Its beauty was further
embellished with artificial plants, gravel and a sea diver statue. Soon
the hugs aquarium becomes apple of eye of whole department and other
departments as well which are residing on that particular floor.
The multi breed and colored fishes inside the glass gradually became a relaxing therapy for the whole department. When the pretty fishes stretch their fins and move hastily, one just follows their track, stand stood. On every sight, It gave a cool ease to eyes which excels out all the tiredness of work and when light turned off, its sparkling head bulb illuminate the dark atmosphere and once again, we start gazing the new guests of our department. Though, there was different kind of fishes kept inside the aquarium but the golden colored ‘Gold fish’ was beyond praise.
It was my routine to office to play with Gold Fish and other by knocking the glass. I love the way, the confused and scared fishes move here and there. The time passed on and water got dirty day by day, therefore, one day we decided to change the water. We were gladly changing the water, unaware of the the fact that we will soon lose our dear ‘Gold Fish’.
While changing the water, fishes were transferred into small pot and I persisted to put the pot on my desk where I talked, whistled, took pictures and shot video of fish.
In a nut shell, I enjoyed as much as I can and left office with a happy and smiling face but next day all my happiness flown away when I came to office and found the Gold Fish dead!
This wasn't a new thing for my colleagues and they took it lightly (later showed regret) and suggested to apply the same procedure of throwing fish into the garbage bin but here I didn't allow anyone to throw it into dustbin and I suggested to bury the poor creature whose soul said farewell to the world when I weren't around her. I asked my colleague took the fish net, carrying the dead body and follow me. I dig a small area and bury the poor fish. I watered her with my tears and bade Good Bye!
Now everything is back to normal; same department, same aquarium but the thing that not same and normal is the Gold Fish who is no more...
People love their pets till they are alive but what if they die?
