Lively and Colorful Carnival

The building of Jinnah University (JUW) for women that use to reverberate with the sound of chemical experiments, in whose floors students explore the new versions of IT and do gossip on topics related to linguistics, media and business was turned into a dancing diva, on 26th March when a colorful carnival (Mela) was arranged in it.
The Mela was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of JUW Dr. Naeem Farooqi. Raza Haroon Provincial Minister of Information and Technology (Sindh) and Syed Faisal Ali Sabzwari Minister of Youth were invited as guests. However, many news channels like Sama, Duniya and Metro etc captured the lively event through their lens

As it is a women university so students were allowed to come only with their female friends or other female family members. All the students including visitors participated in this multicolored event with their heart and soul. Ayesha Siddiqui, student of mass-communication expresses her views and said, "This is a healthy activity. We comes to university to study but today we've come here to have fun". An other visitor Nimra Waseem said, "I've come here with my friend and I am having a good time here"

The stalls of face painting, mehindi, accessories, food, juices were the most crowded ones. There were two swings; ferris wheel and merry-go-round that remained the point of attention through out the mela. Music was the main essence, students danced on their favorite numbers.

Me and my confusions!

There was a great hustle and bustle; the shrilling sounds of car's horns were pouring melted iron in the ears. The crowds of people were present everywhere. The mall was completely jam packed with human beings kids were crying like hungry monsters, aunties where carrying multiple shopping bags. Every single person was taking part in the marathon to look good on Eid day. It was 28th Ramadan-ul-Mubarak and only two days were left in Eid.

Me and my family (mum, sis, bro and sis in law) were also the marathon to finish shopping at the same night. We entered the mall with great effort and successfully stepped inside a shop. According to mum, my shopping was almost complete but for me it wasn’t because I hadn't brought the bag yet.
After exploring the whole mall, visiting almost all the bag's shops I finally stepped inside an elegant shop covering with the curtains of small and large bags I was deciding what bag should I buy? This one, this on or that one watching me confused and dazed my mum ask my sister to help me out. After wasting the precious half an hour of my family and off course mine too I short listed the top three bags, with mutual concern of my sis and sis in law I brought the bag.
As I am a complete whirlpool of confusion next I showed my in born talent in a dress store. At that time I was with my father so with him spending more then 5 mins in a shop is impossible Lol. Because he is a fast forward person his rule is "like it? Then buy it! Don't waste time"
We entered in a shop. My sis selected her dress immediately and I was still checking the dresses. My father asked me to chose a dress with great effort I did it but I was stuck in the color what color should I buy? The blue one or the brown one? At that time I was thinking in mind I should keep paper chits with me but I listened to the voice of my heart and selected the brown one. After giving the stitching order, we were about to leave the shop, I exclaimed "I like the blue one" my father asked me to go out from the shop because he knows as long as I remain in the shop I'll keep changing my selective dress.
It is like my routine I got confused between two things and sometimes more then two. Now days I am facing this problem in selecting background for my poor blog!! I have changed 40 to 50 backgrounds since I've made my blog :( It’s annoying!!

Juggling Shows of Pakistan

From last five years Morning Shows have made a revolution in Pakistani media. Every channel has its own morning show i.e. a news channel or a religious channel. Morning shows are providing an extra dose of entertainment to people from all walks of life. After sending children school and husbands office house wives turn on television and take an energetic and fresh start of the day by watching the beautiful ladies (hosts) of morning shows.
What a morning show comprised of? A talkative host entangled into branded clothes or a dummy displaying designer’s outfits. In fact most of the hosts have started selling the designer dresses that they wear in the show. If you want to buy that particular outfit just sms as much as you can. Besides host, the other eye-catching attraction of a morning show is its guest, new day new morning and a new guest, he or she can be from any field.  It depends on the show’s topic. No doubt morning shows has lessened the space between celebrities and audience. We can reach our favorite celebrities on a single phone call or by sms. But now every channel has its morning show and the guests are switching from one show to another. More over a morning show has number of interesting segments. Caption the image, birthday bumps, fitness, beauty these are some of the most famous segments that a morning show have.

From last two years a new trend has hit the morning shows that are wedding seasons. I remember Shaista Wahidi’s morning show “Good Morning Pakistan” had introduced the first wedding season and after that all the morning shows copied it. “Wedding season celebrating in a morning show” it sounds abnormal.  Why a morning show is celebrating wedding season? A person turn on television in morning to get a fresh start but what he saw traditional ceremonies mayun, mehindi even baraat and valima,  all the people are singing shadi songs wearing heavy labled dresses and jewellerys . On the other hand these shadi shows were helpful for people who are getting married or are involved in marriage ceremonies, This is one side of the coin other side of the coin shows that these shows are developing inferiority complex inside poor audience. Every one watches morning shows from rich to poor but now a day’s morning shows are featuring shows for wealthy people only, wedding season is one of the obvious example. The heavy, expensive, branded clothes are not in every one’s reach and at the time of such economic crises these kinds of shows can only raise suicide rate in Pakistan.
Now a day’s switching of hosts is a hotly debated issue. I am talking about the recent shifting of Shaista Wahidi on Geo television in replacement of “Nadia Khan Show”  “Utho jago Pakistan” hit the television screens recently.  However Nadia Khan herself shifts from ARY to Geo television but no doubt Nadia khan is the trend setter. She has taught everyone how to host a morning show that is why many anchors copying her in every other show but she’s also a copy cat. Nadia had copied Shasta’s GNP segment of summer mela and Nadia Khan’s summer mela was again featuring the elite class of Pakistan.
Most of the morning shows started in past and ended in past. Like KIran and George a husband wife family morning shows.
All and all morning shows are can be call as backbone of Pakistani media and an extra dose of entertainment but this extra dose is now becoming an over dose for audience. Day start and ends on watching these shows. It seems that there is no more entertainment left. Same sequence, same segments, same shows that are call as morning shows!

Twinkling stars

The black sky is full of stars. Every star has its own shimmer and power to shine but few stars shine more bright as compare to others that is why they remain the center of attention. Every one stops for a minute to praise or appreciate them. The case is same whether the stars are on the sky or on earth between us. Yes, I am talking about the most glamorous media stars.
Now a days, many twinkling stars from our Pakistani media and from Bollywood are on our television screens 24x7. If you are bored of watching one face switch the channel but unfortunately you'll again find the same face in other show in another role. Its because we (audience) love them and wants to see them in every show. Its biggest example is own heart taking Pakistani media star "Faisal Qureshi".
Its not wrong if we say that Faisal has covered the whole media with his wings of talent.
"Meri zaat zarra-e-benishan", "Yaariyan", his current plays "Sundal", "Kya meri shaadi Shahrukh se hogi?"
These were the following quality dramas done by Faisal and many of them are coming and running on channels also.
The main thing common between them is channel "Geo-Entertainment". All his dramas mostly telecast on Geo-Entertainment but what ever the channel is, we should admire and appreciate the work. How much hard work the person is doing? and no doubt Faisal is doing marvelous job. More over, he is also hosting morning show "Be my guest". He is a bunch or bundle of talent (MashAllah)

Further moving, another person enjoying the same situation is the legendary actor "Akshay Kumar". In the end of 2010, he has given his hit movie "Action Replay" and "Tees mar Khan" However, both the movies have weak story or you can say, the movies got fame only by Akshay Kumar. He was also doing "Master Chef" on starplus. In other words, he used Master Chef for the publicity of his own movies. Master Chef was a reality show and Akshay took full advantage of it by promoting his movies but again its media and its part of media. Apart from all this, Akshay had done many movies and his sense of humor is great. He has done and he is doing many projects.
Hard work is the base of popularity or you can say that hard work is directly proportional to popularity and fame. Not in media but also in every field because competition is present everywhere. Work hard for fame, name and money!!
Best of luck!

Secrets behind bigg boss popularity

Bigg Boss season 4:

The most popular reality show of the year “Big boss” now days it is bubbling in everyone's heart. Every human mind is eagerly waiting for the results that who will become the Big Boss season 4 winner.
However, this is the fourth season means this reality show has covered its 4 years successfully but season 4 get more fame as compare to last 3 seasons and its getting more and more famous day by day.

Why it’s getting so much fame?

Everything is same for example same theme, same voting style, same audience then why the show is becoming more and more famous? Why it’s touching the walls of world with speed of leopard?

The answer is:

However, the show has the same theme, same voting style but the thing attracted people was a surprising change, and from last 3 years the theme of the show was quite same i.e. there were separate rooms and toilets for girls and boys but this time, a single hall kind of room with double beds. It means two celebrities have to share the bed. People use to say, sharing increase love but not in all cases and this weird case is clear in Big Boss Season 4. In this age people don't share their hair pins with each other, sharing bed is a so far thought.
Another attention seeking ingredient was our Pakistani media stars famous bubbly "Begum Nawazish Ali "real name "Ali Saleem" and queen of controversies "Veena Malik" whose appearance brings four stars in the show and played a huge role in its popularity.
How Indian political parties can tolerate Pakistani actor or actress working in their dese show?
BJP party watched the two heart taking stars on the small screen their watching should result in praise or appreciatance but it result in serious protest but this protest made the show more famous in India and so in Pakistan and worldwide also.
The remaining Indian celebrities also included the golden models, actor, and actress of Indian small and big screen.
The great Khali, Sameer Soni, well known Shweta Tiwari who played main role in "Kasuti Zindigi ke" famous starplus soap. It’s about two years passed the evergreen soap ends but still people are confused  and question "was Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) Basu or Bajaj in the soap?"
Besides them Ashmit Patel brother of Amisha Patel both brother and sister are struggling actors, Dolly Bindra the Punjaban. Apart from them, there were total 14 ghar walay in the show but now only 3 has left and grand finale will be on coming Friday. So all the confused, disturb soles your confusion is going to an end.
Secondly the concentrated chemical that worked as a catalyst in the popularity of the show was the marriage ceremony of Sarah Khan, the famous rotie dhotie Sad-hana (Sadhana) of starplus soap "Sapna babul ka bidaai" with Ali Merchant handsome cool dude.
The love affair of Veena and Ashmit give a new hype to the show.
Lastly Salman Khan, the famous legendary actor of Bollywood is hosting the show. Most of the people tune to Color channel only on Fridays and Saturdays because of Salman Khan only!

Predicted and Unpredicted eliminations:

Eliminations are the main part of the show. Every celebrity has to leave the show on the bases of the numbers of votes he or she got. From the first day the elimination was quite predictable. However, the elimination of Ali Saleem and Veena Malik was disappointing and unpredictable because Veena was playing very well.
Recently Sameer Soni is voted out which was quite unpredicted because majority of the people were in favor of Sameer including Farah Khan but unfortunately Sameer voted out last Friday. On the other hand Shweta Tiwari was saved the 9th time.

The show is not end yet. The race is still on vote for your favorite celebrity and gives him or her title of Big Boss season 4 winners.

A tale of revenge...

Dr Shaista Wahidi one of the most famous host of Pakistani media who got fame and name from ARY’s morning show “Good Morning Pakistan” has recently switched to Geo TV replacing Nadia Khan’s “Nadia Khan show” by her brand new morning show “Utho jago Pakistan”. On second episode of Utho jago Pakistan (2nd episode of 30th November 2010) she invited “Amanat Ali” and our own queen of scandals “Meera”. Poorly Shaista got encountered with her adversity on the very next episode.

Elder people use to say, “A person’s respect is in his own hands” and we all are familiar with the proverb “Look before you leap” but sometimes tongue doesn’t co-operate with our words and slip of tongue occur. Its human nature, most of the times we forget things and calling incorrect names is very common but it happens one time, two times but if it happens third so it means you are doing it deliberately. Same slip of tongue incident happened in second episode by our own Shaista Wahidi and it was all pre –plan. Her tongue slips only on the name of her own guest Amanat Ali. She calls him “Asad” not one, not two times but three times same as that a person doesn’t mind one time, two times but third time he reacts so as Amanat Ali did. When she said “Asad oh sorry Amanat” Amanat replied: “Nadia oh sorry Shaista”. First of all it’s very absurd to forget your own guest name and the guest is also a big star then what’s the sense behind taking incorrect name? If we take it in a formal traditional way, a person invites guest to his house, he honors him by delightful and respectful words then why Shaista did such a big blunder?

That’s not enough as Newton said “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction” so how Shaista will leave Amanat on his such disgraceful act without taking any reveng to do so she cut his conversation. She put her leg in the middle of conservation and speedily moves towards Meera without let him to complete his sentence.
That was Amanat Ali’s part now moves towards Queen of sandals Meera, who is going to host a show on Geo TV very soon. Now days Lollywood’s super stars are moving towards small screen. Following the footsteps of Reema Khan, we will soon watch Meera in her very own show. Meera has tried her luck in every field now she is moving towards small screen. The question is what is the name of the show? What kind of show she is going to host? What are the segments? These entire questions have no answer because Meera didn’t reveal anything about her show. At a point Shaista was revealing the name but Meera exclaimed: “No! Not now. I didn’t finalize the name yet!!!” although she was been to UJP for the publicity and advertisement of the show. Her hidden motive was to give a clue to people about her show but regretful she didn’t reveal anything.
While in the whole episode Meera was busy in adjusting her hair. More over when Shaista asked to take a break as she is going to host a show in future she replied: “Merey paas script nahe hai” (I don’t have the script).
Further moving, Shaista asked Meera about her childhood, fitness and beauty secrets she replied: “I will reveal my secrets in my own show right now I can’t tell you anything” and for childhood one her excuse was “When I will come with my brother and mother I will tell you about my childhood”. Meera reveals only one thing that is her real name “Irtiza Rubab” and nothing more interesting. In fact Shaista was asking this question to the audience about her real name and at the end of the show Meera herself didn’t disclose the name she said to Shaista “aap batadein”. Applause for her!
There was a big advertisement in the newspaper for the publicity of the episode “watch Utho jago Pakistan’s second episode. Guests are your own Amanat Ali and Meera with me (Shaista Wahidi)”. Although people are bored of watching Meera and Amanat Ali’s interview because on every morning show, they are sitting in fact Shaista herself has taken their interviews in “Good morning Pakistan” but still people watch the episode for a new change but found the episode cliché one and full of blunders.

Cleanliness is half of faith

cleanliness, It's Eid-ul-Azha time. Every Muslim will sacrifice animals in the way of Allah. We all are familiar with the story behind Eid-ul-Azha but what about the intention? Our intention is to display our animals in other words we showcase our animals. We have forgotten the real meanings of sacrifice. I am saying it because most of us slaughter animals and through its waste on the road. If we are following one Sunnah that is Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim(A.S) at the same time we are neglecting the Hadith of Hazrat Mohmmed (S.A.W.W) that is:

                            Cleanliness is half of faith

Being a Muslim we have to follow all the Ahadith and Sunnahs that are present in Quran and other Holy books.
