Etihad airways were teamed up with Fashion Pakistan to present the award

Zaheer Abbas winner of Etihad Airways Most Inspiring Designer at the 4th Fashion Pakistan Week, 

With the end of Fashion Pakistan Week 4, everyone was waiting for the results for Pakistan’s Most Inspiring Designer’s award. Finally the wait is over as the winner has been announced after conducting a poll on Etihad Facebook page and compiling the votes received from members of Fashion Pakistan Council The winner is none other than the most talented, young and inspiring designer ‘Zaheer Abbas’.

Etihad Airways & Fashion Pakistan Council presented the Etihad Most Inspiring Designer Award to Zaheer Abbas today. This is not Zaheer’s first victory, he has also received Best Emerging Talent in Fashion” at the prestigious Lux Style Awards. The boy with magic wand is famous for his love for light fabrics such as chiffon, airy silhouettes and other soft wears. His designs are available in various stores in Karachi, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and London.

One lucky winner, Kamran Hashim, has won 15,000 Etihad Guest Miles by taking part in the poll conducted on Etihad airways Facebook page.

Etihad Airways’ Area General Manager for Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal, Amer Khan, said: “I would like to congratulate Zaheer on winning this award. It has been a long standing policy at Etihad Airways to encourage fashion, arts and culture worldwide. We are proud to lend our support to Pakistan’s burgeoning fashion industry and to be associated with Fashion Pakistan Week for the second year in a row.”

The Fashion Pakistan Week was organized by Fashion Pakistan Council to promote young talent by giving them a platform to display their work along with the senior designers Fashion Pakistan Council’s Chairperson, Shamaeel Ansari, said: “I am proud to be part of the Fashion Pakistan Week for its pivotal role in educating, empowering and encouraging designers and promoting traditional crafts. I wish to express my gratitude to Etihad Airways for its continual commitment and support to different segments of the Pakistani society through this partnership with us.“

Mr. Deepak Perwani received Etihad Diamond Award for his 20 years contribution to fashion industry,

The honor was done by Mr. Amer Khan, Area General Manager for Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal presenting the award to Mr. Perwani along with the jury member of the award Ms Ronak Lakhani. Etihad Airways is the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and the official airline for the 4th Pakistan Fashion Week recently held in Karachi. Established by Royal decree in July 2003 and based in Abu Dhabi, Etihad was awarded the World's Leading Airline in 2009, 2010 and 2011 by the World Travel Awards

Dressed up to the nines celebrities received E960 mobile phones from Qmobiles

Qmobile presented E960 mobile phones to two best dressed celebrities: each day at FPW 4

The super six well dressed celebrities received awards including:Rabya Chaudhry and Tapu Javeri recieved the best dressed awards on the opening day of FPW-4. Sania Saeed and Ayyan were selected as the best dressed celebrities on the day 2. On the final day of FPW Nomi Ansari and Safinaz Muneer bagged the Q Mobile Best Dressed celebrity Awards

Qmobiles is the first local mobile phone company in Pakistan and the sponsor of FPW-4.

  

Fashion Pakistan Week- 4

After the outstanding success of FPW 1, 2, and 3, now it is time for FPW 4. In the field of fashion designing FPW, works as a platform for young talent to come up with their brand new collections, ideas and designs, along with the senior designers. The 4th season had started from October 21st to 23rd 2012 at Pearl Continental hotel, Karachi.

Pond’s reveal lounge was the  attention grabber of red carpet for all 3 days. The unveiling ceremony was done by photograher, Tapu Javeri, who raised the red curtain to display the mannequins wearing pieces designed by the designers participating on the first day. Next day the gorgeous lady Frieha Altaf did the honor and last day the curtains were raised not to display the mannequins but the beautiful models clad in in Sania Maskatiya’s capsule collection titled “Manchala”.

In season 4, 20 designers introduce their collections including: Arsalan & Yahseer,Huma Adnan, Maheen Karim, Misha Lakhani, Delphi, Zaheer Abbas, Wardha Saleem, Maimoona H, Sonya Battla, Nargiz Hafeez Couture, Aamir Baig, Debenhams, Emraan Rajput, Sanam Chaudri, Baani D, Ayesha Hassan , Deepak & Fahad, Adnan Pardesy, Ishtiaq Afzal Khan and NINE WEST.

Highlights

Sonya Batla

Fashion Pakistan Week 4 was started with the collection of Sonya Battla, her collection is a mixture of art and style. The brand was founded in 1996 with an aim to become mark of  luxury fashion in Pakistan. The lady with magic wand always use only highest quality fabric to create a mix of modern and revived embroideries, coupled with innovative silhouettes.

 

 

Deepak and Fahad

Next in the list is D & F (men's wear), Deepak and Fahad’s squared collection, wholly based on Kafayas that is a repeated angular shape creation having its roots in ancient Islamic architecture and can be traced through to the 20th century. The shirts are in bright colours, and comfortable and easy to wear, without compromising on style.

  

Kuki Concepts 

Second half of the show was started with  Zahid Khan’s Kuki Concepts.  This western wear collection is inspired by the famous painter Frank Stella, who was noted for his work in the areas of minimalism and post-painterly abstraction. The outfits are very modern and bright.

 

  

 

Maimoona H

Mainmoona H, the label created by Maimoona Arshad, was revealed in the FPW 4 day 1. When it comes to experiment, Maimoona Arshad is the master of all; her collection was bold and beautiful Infused with the dark glamorous shades. 

   

 

 Ishtiaq Afzal Khan 

Ishtiaq Afzal Khan presents his new signature collection ‘Desert Rose’ inspired by the vast imposing desert. The color scheme ranges from browns to forest greens, with just a pinch of pink. The all over collection was simple yet stylish 

 

Nida Tapagl & Nargis Hafeez

Nabeela Adeel working under the label of Nargis Hafeez launched in the year 2000, after completing her bachelor’s in Business Administration the creative lady jumped into the fashion industry and since 2000 she has conquered the ramp with the weapons of her dynamic collections and in FPW she has maintained the same level of her creativity

Wardha Saleem 

Wardha Saleem, a very familiar name is the field of fashion designing, this season she has come back with her mesmerizing creativity, plethora of colors with a touch of traditional designs that got the attention of everyone till the end.
